Working with C&C Wirth Contractors starts with clear expectations. These Terms and Conditions outline how projects are planned, priced, and completed. They define your responsibilities, our commitments, and how we handle changes, timelines, and payments. Review them carefully before starting any service so everything stays transparent, structured, and aligned from day one.

1. Scope of Services

C&C Wirth Contractors provides residential and commercial remodeling services across West Virginia, Ohio, and Idaho. Work includes renovations, repairs, structural updates, and interior improvements, as agreed during the consultation. Your project starts with a defined plan. Not vague ideas. We rely on written estimates, documented requirements, and approved designs before moving forward.

2. Estimates and Pricing

We provide written estimates after reviewing your requirements, site conditions, and materials involved. Prices reflect:
  • Labor and material costs
  • Project complexity
  • Timeline requirements
  • Site-specific conditions
And yes, things change sometimes. If hidden structural issues or additional work surfaces are discovered during the project, we will discuss them first. No silent additions. No surprise billing at the end. Approval comes before execution. Always.

3. Payment Terms

Payment schedules depend on project size and scope. Smaller jobs often require partial upfront payment. Larger projects follow milestone-based payments. Typical structure includes:
  • Initial deposit before work begins
  • Progress payments at defined stages
  • Final payment upon completion
Late payments delay work. Not out of spite. Out of necessity. Materials, labor, and scheduling depend on timely payments.

4. Scheduling and Project Timeline

We schedule projects based on availability, project scope, and material readiness. You get a timeline. Not a guess. Still, delays happen. Weather, supply chain disruptions, or site conditions sometimes interfere. When that happens, we communicate early and adjust accordingly. Access to the property must remain available during scheduled work periods. If access is restricted or delayed, timelines shift.

5. Changes to Project Scope

You request a change mid-project. It happens often. But every change affects something: cost, timeline, or both. We document all changes through written change orders. Work continues only after approval. No verbal assumptions. No informal add-ons.

6. Client Responsibilities

You play a role in keeping the project on track. You are responsible for:
  • Providing accurate project details
  • Ensuring site accessibility during working hours
  • Securing pets and personal belongings
  • Obtaining approvals from homeowner associations, if required
Delays caused by incomplete information or restricted access impact timelines and costs.

7. Materials and Product Selection

We either source materials for you or install materials you provide. If you supply materials, quality and compatibility stay your responsibility. If something does not fit or fails during installation, we address it, but replacement costs fall on you. When we supply materials, we choose based on durability, compliance, and performance standards.

8. Permits and Compliance

We follow local building codes and safety standards across West Virginia, Ohio, and Idaho. Permits, when required, are either handled by us or coordinated with you, depending on the project. This gets clarified early. Not halfway through construction. Code compliance is non-negotiable.

9. Workmanship Guarantee

We stand behind our work. Every project includes a workmanship guarantee based on the agreed contract. If an issue arises due to our work, we fix it. Straightforward. Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or external factors falls outside this guarantee.

10. Property Conditions and Risks

Remodeling involves working with existing structures. Hidden issues exist behind walls, under flooring, and inside systems. We identify visible concerns during inspection. But concealed problems such as wiring faults, plumbing damage, or structural weaknesses may surface during the project. When they do, we pause, explain, and proceed only after your approval.

11. Limitation of Liability

We take responsibility for our work. Still, liability has limits. C&C Wirth Contractors is not responsible for:
  • Pre-existing structural defects
  • Delays caused by third-party suppliers
  • Damages resulting from client-provided materials
  • Indirect or consequential losses
Our liability stays limited to the value of the contracted services.

12. Cancellations and Termination

You can cancel the project before work begins. Deposits may be partially retained to cover planning, scheduling, or material costs. Once work starts, termination involves:
  • Payment for completed work
  • Reimbursement for ordered materials
  • Any applicable restocking or cancellation charges
We reserve the right to stop work if payment terms are not met or if site conditions become unsafe.

13. Communication and Documentation

We keep communication clear and documented. You receive updates during key project stages. Questions get answered. Concerns get addressed. Still, written communication matters. Agreements, changes, approvals all of it stays documented to avoid confusion later.

14. Third Party Services

Some projects involve subcontractors or external specialists. We work with trusted professionals. Still, timelines or performance from third parties may influence overall progress. We coordinate, but full control does not sit with us in those cases.

15. Dispute Resolution

If something goes wrong, we address it directly. Start with a conversation. Most issues are resolved there. If not, disputes follow applicable state laws in West Virginia, Ohio, or Idaho, depending on project location. Legal action is the last option.

16. Updates to Terms

We revise these Terms and Conditions when needed. Changes reflect business updates, legal requirements, or service improvements. Updated versions apply to new agreements moving forward. Existing signed contracts remain governed by their original terms unless revised in writing.
